Happy new year to everyone. '08 was a good year with a lot of different projects and releases. Two Resonance releases I was on are guitar phenom Andreas Oberg "My Favorite Guitars", which was a blast, and Cathy Rocco "You're Gonna Here From Me" which I have a real fondness for because I got to play with the late great Dave Carpenter, who will be truly missed. The studio was very busy for '08
and is continuing to be busy for the start of '09. Recording some of the University of the Arts big bands from Phila. has been a real treat hearing some great young talent. Make sure to visit giantstepsrecording.com as well. And lastly I want to thank everyone who has purchased my cd "If People Could Talk". Continue to spread the word.

Sorry for not keeping up. Just finished a very hectic Jan. and Feb. Did a two month gig with a talented bunch of guys from Australia signed to Sony Australia called Human Nature. It was a fun hang with great people. Along with that, Giant Steps Recording was pretty slammed. We cut a 16 piece big band, a jazz duo, a jazz quintet, and an extreme mix for Darren Hayes, the lead singer from the band Savage Garden. It's a 2 hour dvd of a live concert due out this summer. I'm involved in some interesting cd projects coming up and will keep you posted.

It’s official, Vic Stevens’ Mistaken Identities “If People Could Talk” is now available through Dreambox Media at DreamboxMedia.com, Amazon.com and iTunes music store. The cd features some new Mistaken Identitiy members Michael Manring and Ken Gioffre along with Percy Jones, Demetrios Pappas, Alex Domschot, and Hector Rosado.

Just wanted to let everybody what has been going on. Giant Steps Recording has been busy doing a Christmas record for country superstar Lorrie Morgan. It will be available for the Christmas season. The new Mistaken Identities project will be available the end of May on the Dreambox Media label. And the Andreas Oberg cd I had the pleasure of playing on is finished and being shopped around.
